IRLA: “The Fan Club” by Rona Maynard
Hi Everyone,
Today in class, we read the short story, “The Fan Club” by Rona Maynard. Here is a link to Ms. Maynard’s website with the full text of the story.
Also, this other link is to a blog post Ms. Maynard wrote about writing “The Fan Club: which was her first short story. You may find it interesting to read what the author has to say about the story. (Also, you can see what she looked like at the age of 14 when she wrote the story!)
Please re-read the story several times and continue to take notes on it. We will be “writing deeply” in class tomorrow about some of the things you’ve come up with in your notes so far.
