BOOK REVIEW: The Fire Thief (Sergey I.)

Posted on September 26, 2008. Filed under: Reading | Tags: , |

The book that I am writing about is The Fire Thief.  The person who wrote the book is Terry Deary.  This book is part of a series called the Ice Thief.  Terry Deary didn’t write any more books.  I chose this book because I thought the book name was cool.  Terry Deary is a good book writer.  The book took me 2-4 weeks to read.

In the book The Fire Thief there was a god named Leo who stole fire from the other gods and gave it to the humans.  The other gods were mad at Leo for stealing the fire for the humans because the gods think that the humans are stupid.

In the first part of the book I didn’t understand the book because I didn’t read the series.  However, the second part of the book blew me away and it was like an adventure when the god was about to hang another god to get the fire back.

I would recommend this book to my brother and friends because I think the story of the thief was amazing because Leo kept on hiding away from the gods.  I couldn’t stop thinking about it.

Hi Sergey,
Did you find out who the Ice Thief was, did he steal ice and give it to the humans?
Have you ever heard the story of Prometheus? In ancient Greece, he was the god that stole fire and gave it to the humans. As a punishment Zeus chained him to a rock, forever. Then, he sent a woman, named Pandora, to Prometheus’ brother, Epimetheus, with a box; when Epimetheus opened the box, he released all the bad stuff in the world, so the humans couldn’t just sit around enjoying the fire. Luckily he closed the box before it got too bad.

No i didn’t find out who stole the ice from the gods and yes i have heard or the book Prometheus. By the way the god i said was not Leo it was Prometheus.

Sergey, did this book make you want to go back and read the first book in the series? If so, what did you think of it?
