BOOK REVIEW: The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane (Anya R.)

Posted on September 26, 2008. Filed under: Reading | Tags: , |

I read a book called The Miraculous Journey of Edward Tulane by Kate DiCamillo.  She also wrote Because of Win-Dixie and The Tiger Rising.  I chose this book because I love reading books about animals.

This book is about a rabbit named Edward Tulane. He is a rabbit who is cold-hearted and the proud toy rabbit of a little girl who loves only him.  They’re happy together until he is separated from the little girl who adores him.  They both travel across the country, sharing their hopes, histories, and during their journey, Edward finds a new owner.

When I was reading the book I was excited because I couldn’t wait until the next page.  It was like reading a book about a rabbit, but the rabbit was alive.  This kept me going because I wanted to see what was going to be on the next page.  So, when I was done with the book I wanted to read more and more.

Finally, I would like to recommend this book to people who love reading about animals that become alive and love reading books that are about travel.

Sounds like a fun book Anya, but I was wondering, did the cold hearted rabbit ever warm up to his new owner? And did the former owner ever find a new rabbit?

I was thinking the same thing as Mr. Morris. I would love to read about the answers, and what you thought about Anya.

mr.morris, he didn’t get warm with the new owner; he only had feelings for the old owner, but after a while he started to feel for the new owner. the farmer never found a new rabbit. 🙂

thnk you for commenting me! 🙂
