An Unexpected Halloween Treat

Written by Devanei S.

I was loath to go trick-or-treating, because I had not yet acquired a costume. I wanted to dress up as an illustrious person in history. When I finally went trick-or-treating with my friends, we came upon a dilapidated house which needed renovation. My friends tried to antagonize me by making me go ring the doorbell. I was afraid there would be an incident there that would ruin my Halloween. A spooky figure answered the door and handed me a bag. The bag was comprised of multiple types of candies, and a gold coin. Without saying a word, I walked away. My friends asked me what happened. I tried to maintain a straight face as I showed them all I had acquired, and reprimanded them for their incompetence.

Wow. Amazing. Mine was actually about a sports coach that got in a car accident and ruined his life.

Haha! That’s cool.
Nice job, Devanei! Whenever I do this, my stories don’t make sense at all. I wrote a “fan-fiction” of All Summer in a Day once.

Great Story!!!!

Great story Devanei! I hope to see other stories or other self written pieces as well! I will be giving in something soon as well.

I love ur story 🙂 and I love how you used so many vocab words!

Really good. Better than mine!!!:)

Very creative story! Ms. Menna (teacher at GMS and a friend of Ms. Morris)
